These non-coffee drinkers met for their first date in Starbucks! The romance blossomed from there. With lots of travelling already done in places like USA, and Europe and a house bought, Owen organised the surprise proposal.
Hannah walked into the house with fairy lights and overhead projector, her first reaction was “Oh my god you got a projector”!!! Then once Owen got down on one knee – did Hannah realise what was going on. Ruth her bridesmaid, who is quite the literary genius added “With fairy lights, projectors and even a private chef and with no hesitation of course, Hannah said YES!
Then it was full steam ahead to plan their real wedding at Killashee Hotel. Hannah even asked Owen to draw a picture of what her dress would look like on the day. He admitted “he wasn’t even close”. Owen’s first year students wrote cards. He was hoping for romantic notes but got some great messages such as “Hannah, it’s not too late to run” or “Why are you marrying this guy?”. All fun parts of the real wedding at Killashee Hotel.
With the wedding ceremony at Killashee Hotel, they had plenty of time to explore the lovely grounds for their photos. And even managed a stroll in the nearby wildflower field, filled with buttercups and white daisies.
The guests enjoyed the drinks reception at the real wedding at Killashee Hotel, while Hannah and Owen explored the woodlands at Killashee and got back for some socialising with the guests before dinner call.
The wedding day speeches at Killashee Hotel, had my lovely couple either filling up with tears or roaring laughing. Ruth, one of Hannah’s bridesmaids whose wedding we photographed previously wrote an amazing poem for them both, and acted as MC for the night.
Ruth reminded them ” Your life together is a journey that starts today, a date you will remember and reminisce as new life chapters come your way”.
