It’s a no brainer to want a Romantic Wedding at Druids Glen. As Paddy (known only as Patrick when he is in trouble!!!) joked forget Four weddings and a Funeral this was Two weddings and a Communion! With dreaded covid, dates kept shifting but my lovely Jen and Paddy achieved their Romantic Wedding at Druids Glen. Jen was hoping for the good weather that usually accompanies the kids back to school and they were right.
Jen got ready in her mums house in Castleknock and as Jen said herself, the popping of a champagne bottle is her favourite sound! So what better place to pop the cork then on your patio balcony with all the girls.
While Paddy got ready at Druids Glen Hotel and had time to enjoy a pint in the bar beforehand to settle the nerves. Jen and Paddy decided on having a humanist ceremony and planned an anniversary box where they write each other a letter and put them in a box with some champagne and open it and read the letters to each other on their five year anniversary. Yes more Champagne!!!!
After some family photos, the bridal party headed off for some photos and we even had a Beatles moment at the pedestrian crossing in the car park. Jen and Paddy got to go in the Druids Glen Wedding Golf Cart for photos at the Druids Glen bridge and woodlands.
Nessa, the wedding coordinator from Druids Glen took some time out to become Jen’s bridesmaid! and was down on her hands and knees splaying out her amazing train for a photo to show it off. Just went with the image of a romantic wedding at Druids Glen. Then, my lovely couple happily entered the main room to start off the evening entertainment. They hope to continue the celebrations with a honeymoon in December at the Maldives. Such a lovely couple who met each other at the age of 13 and had only eyes for each other.
