Wedding at the Woodlands Hotel in Adare

Louise and Stephen having lived in Limerick for a few years wanted somewhere that was close to their hearts and chose to have their wedding at the Woodlands Hotel in Adare. I was the photographer for Louise’s bridesmaid Aoife and they said they liked how “we worked the crowd”. So it was lovely to see them again too on the day.

So as Dublin Wedding photographers, it was exciting to take a trip to Adare in Limerick and see the countryside. Louise must have had all her Childs of Prague out that week as it proved to be a scorcher.

With the heat, Louise made a wise decision and bought fans for all the guests for their outdoor wedding at Woodlands Hotel. Louise had told me she was most nervous about saying the tongue twister “I know of no unlawful imped…” but in the end it was poor Stephen who tripped up. He ended up marrying himself with the lines “I Stephen take Stephen”!!

We took a trip into Adare with all the bridal party to see the sights and immerse ourselves in the tourist scene. With visiting Americans seeing a true Irish bride and groom walking through Adare village -They had to greet them all.

We took a stroll in the local park and was so funny to see her bridesmaids trying to create wind for her dress that just wasn’t there. Then, we spotted a sunflower and Louise told us it was meant to be as Stephen often calls her “His little Sunflower”.

We then headed back to the Wedding at Woodlands Hotel in Adare to prepare for the speeches, dinner, cake cutting and dancing. We heard how Stephen was quite the romantic, throwing stones up at what he thought was Louise’s window only to find out it was her parents window instead!

So lovely for Louise that her Nana made the wedding cake, it was her 112th wedding cake. Stephen though stole the show for all the girls at their wedding at Woodlands Hotel in Adare when he said to Louise “I’m very excited for our future together, you are one in a million and I love you.”
