Roisín & Damien Rathsallagh House

Wedding Photography at Rathsallagh House

Roisín and Damien moved their date to enjoy a Christmas Wedding at Rathsallagh. And this time, they now had the gorgeous Féilim, their son there as a part of the day. Roisín is no stranger to a Rathsallagh wedding, as she used to work behind the bar at Rathsallagh. Her Amazing grandmother Kitty has been doing the flowers at Rathsallagh for years and is part of the family there.

I have always enjoyed seeing all the different wedding flowers on the tables at Rathsallagh when I have been doing Wedding Photography at Rathsallagh House. So I am sure it was very special for Kitty and Samran (Roisín’s aunt)  to be now doing the flowers for her grandaughter’s own wedding day. She chose beautiful pine cones as her main theme for the day. Marie (Roisín’s mum) did her wedding bouquet, so she was one lucky bride to have such wonderful arty people around to help.

With light always short at winter time, we planned a first look at Rathsallagh House. Roisín and Damien had a chance to say hello to each other, and the ever smiling Féilim, then joined us for a few quick family photos before heading to the the local Dunlavin Church.

It was a cold bright day and as we drove into Rathsallagh House, there was about a minute of sunset left that the pair of them ran over to use as a backdrop for a photo before heading into the warmth of the House.  With family photos and some mingling, it wasn’t long before speeches and of course the obligatory Rathsallagh Tree photo. Roisín came prepared with her runners but was heroic enough to take off her fur wrap and face the cold. All for a good photo. I am sure she warmed up on that dance floor later!
