Rustic Wedding at Rathsallagh House

Gavin and Ann-Marie had originally planned their wedding for September 2020, so they were delighted to finally tie the knot at Rathsallagh House. And they couldn’t have asked for a better day for it!

The girls had a lovely relaxed morning together at Rathsallagh House. There were no flies on these bridesmaids! Who even noticed the lads hanging around outside the window and organised a shot of Ann-Marie looking out to them. The lads were equally as organised and had loads of time to explore. Gavin and his groomsmen headed out to the farmyard – keeping with the country feel of this Rustic wedding at Rathsallagh House. Gavin was really excited to see the horses, who came over to say hello!

Back in the girl’s room, Ann-Marie had put on her dress with the help of her lovely bridesmaids and did a first look with her Dad at Rathsallagh House. Which had the room moved to tears!

When asked what the couple were most nervous about for their big day, both said having all the focus on them. So it was no surprise that Gavin was anxious with anticipation for his bride to walk up the aisle. “He is very particular about things being on time”, as Ann-Marie tells us. But his nerves quickly turned to joy and admiration when he first set eyes on her down the aisle. There was no hiding the love on his face!

After the ceremony at Rathsallagh House, it was time for a drink and a quick meet and greet with guests. We then brought the newly weds around the grounds to start our couple shots. They had to put their trust in our artistic vision when we brought them to a messy barn/carpark! As Gavin said on the day, “You guys see light in a different way to others”. We shot more around the farm grounds, making use of the of the summer sun flares and gentle fall off light from shed doors. More country vibes for this rustic wedding at Rathsallagh House.

Ann-Marie and Gavin were happy to keep shooting. They even got in our car to drive down the lane to the hay bales. And the pictures were well worth the trip, although we may be a bit biased! As Ann-Marie said herself, “No one else will have these pictures!” at Rathsallagh House.

We then headed back up to get the Wedding Party together. Heels flew off and smiles were plenty with this lively group. After a few more couple shots by the tree, it was time to say goodbye to this lovely couple and their rustic wedding at Rathsallagh House.
