Ann & Shane Castle Durrow

Who doesn’t enjoy a Castle Durrow Wedding? What a lovely warm feeling we got when we arrived at Ann’s parents house in Rosenallis. You could tell the kitchen is the centre piece of the whole house – where all the family hang out drinking tea. I am sure there are lots of apple tarts too with the number of apple trees in the garden. We loved looking at a photo of her mum on her wedding day, as she said fresh faced with no make up back then!

It was brilliant Ann came out to the cute greenhouse for a few photos before the last minute preparations and music session by the family to herald Ann out the door to the local church.

Once the ceremony was over, the bridal party took a little walk over to the cute thatch cottage by the church for a couple of photos. As the groomsmen said it was good to get their steps in on their pedometers before all the eating and drinking to be done. Ann and Shane stopped off in the driveway of Castle Durrow for some autumnal photos before their big welcome.

Being such a mild day, a lot of the guests enjoyed a drink outside while family photos got underway. A quick tour around the gardens for my newlyweds  into the main room to see the cake and room – all ready for the evening entertainment. They are planning a fab trip to Mauritius for their honeymoon which gives them a chance to kick back and take it all in.
