Orla & Omar Cliff at Lyons

Sunfilled Wedding at Cliff at Lyons

A wedding full of laughter, ice cream and champagne. Orla and Omar nailed it. After over 13 years together Omar got all romantic and proposed with a handmade ring designed by him for Orla. And they planned the perfect wedding at Cliff at Lyons.

With a fabulous dress from Alice May Bridal, we took the risk of bringing it out for a photo under the tree in their parents garden in Rathfarnham. Under the watchful eye of their son Evan who was hiding in the bushes! The lads along with their other son Adam meanwhile were in Clondalkin putting the final touches to themselves and the cars for the wedding!

The guests were all waiting for Orla to arrive for a humanist ceremony at Cliff at Lyons in the stunning orangerie. Omar was one cool dude, laughing and joking and didn’t seem nervous at all, waiting for his bride. The orangerie looked stunning With flowers by Cherry Blossom in Dundalk. Always fun to see a sand ceremony! Afterwards, the Kooky Ukes played with guests tucking into ice creams and canapes. Orla and Omar had told me they are mad keen ice cream lovers and usually every Sunday drive to Bray/Dun Laogahire to enjoy an ice cream treat.

We headed out for some wedding photos at all the lovely spots around Cliff at Lyons. What bride doesn’t love walking in their wedding dress along the walkway in front of the little chapel and fountain! Then, family photos in the vegetable garden with my peebs having fun on the chess board. Back inside, photos at the round window at Cliff at Lyons and wow what a cake by Wedding Cake Boutique in Ranelagh.

The speeches were so entertaining. Afterwards, Orla and Omar came out for a sunset photo by the canal. A nice breather for them both before the madness of the dance floor. All ages were giving it loads – they never stopped dancing all evening. A great workout after such a fab dinner. I hope Orla and Omar got some timeout to relax on their honeymoon in the Maldives.
