Emma & Hugh The Keadeen Hotel

Cute Wedding at the Keadeen Hotel

Hugh with a packet of love heart sweets in his pocket and the ring, proposed to Emma on Inchydoney beach 7 years ago. They wanted a summer wedding. What better than a summer wedding in the Keadeen Hotel. Emma got ready in her family home in Portlaoise while Hugh got ready nearby with his tractor and dog Milly (same name as my dog, so we have something in common!).

With Hugh loving the series ‘Only Fools and Horses’, Emma surprised Hugh with the Del Boy van. Hugh totally embraced it, and was in no time wearing the cap, with his shirt sticking out. What a great way to arrive to Saint Fintans Church in Raheen to the surprise of the guests.

With summer temperatures soaring, the guests were delighted to spend time outside the church enjoying some ice cream and catching up. While our bridal party walked down to a nearby colourful school mural for some photos before Emma and Hugh headed to nearby Emo Court in their vintage Beauford car.

The newleyweds got a great welcome when they got back to the Keadeen Hotel. Guests were enjoying the sunshine and sitting out among the summer flowers enjoying afternoon tea. Emma and Hugh got some last family shots in the back garden before heading in to see the main room. Hugh even had a laugh giving me a hand at arranging the group!

Emma had done the display all her self outside the main room. Emma’s Aunt had made the main wedding cake with yummy chocolate biscuit, lemon drizzle and red velvet tiers while her mum had made a super traditional oxford lunch. With a great wedding day, the honeymooners are off to Canada for 2 weeks finishing with a drive through the Rockies. A great end to a super celebration.
