Wedding at Royal St George Yacht Club

As a keen sailor myself, I was delighted to be asked to photograph a Wedding at Royal St George Yacht Club in Dun Laoghaire. Annalise and Sean met in Oxford and got to know each other through their love of sailing. They now live in New Zealand but Sean is originally from Ireland. They decided to celebrate their wedding in Dun Laoghaire.

They wanted a low key no fuss wedding at Royal St George Yacht Club. Annalise got ready with her mum and bridesamids in Haddington Hotel near Dun Laoghaire pier. It was amazing to look out their bridal suite and see an aerial view of the stunning pier.

When all the girls were ready, it was such fun to see them take the lift, walk across in their dresses to their wedding ceremony at the Town Hall in Dun Laoghaire. The little kids at the seafront were so excited to see Annalise in her dress walking past.

After the wedding ceremony at the Town Hall in Dun Laoghaire, we walked again with all the family to Dun Laoghaire pier and with the backdrop of the sea, enjoyed chatting to the locals and having some more photos. We headed back to the Wedding at Royal St George Yacht Club. All the guests were enjoying a few drinks with the sailors down below tending to their boats.

With a few more group photos at the reception, it was time for Annalise and Sean to enjoy a few drinks themselves and do what they most wanted to do, celebrate with their friends and family. And a bit of a boogie later…
