Wedding at Brooklodge Hotel & Macreddin Village

In the same day, an indoor and outdoor Wedding at Brooklodge Hotel & Macreddin Village. Jon admitted he was more nervous asking Aoibhin’s father for his daughter’s hand in marriage. And Aobhinn’s dad replied “Oh Jesus, Jon, of course, I thought it was something serious”. And with Aoibhin having studied Environmental science subjects in Trinity College, she likes all things green. So a Wedding at Brooklodge Hotel & Macreddin Village was the perfect wedding venue in Wicklow.

Aoibhin and the girls got ready at Brooklodge Hotel which proved to be a fun morning, full of laughter and chats. And we were blown over by Aobhin’s unique wedding dress by Grace Loves Lace. It was so her! They had planned an outdoor wedding ceremony at Brooklodge Hotel and all the guests were ready and waiting for her arrival but then the rain started and it was great fun watching the guests scarper with their chairs into the little wedding chapel on the grounds of Brooklodge Hotel. Susie Kennedy took it all in her stride and performed a really personal service for them both.

After the ceremony the rain had cleared so we were able to have some family photos and couple photos by the stream and bridge at Brooklodge Hotel. The guests were able to enjoy ice-creams, drinks and canapes at Brook Hall.

It was lovely to hear all the speeches which were held before the meal. Always enjoy when the bride does a speech too. It was great to hear a little bit more about this amazing adventurous couple. Aoibhin admitted as a little girl to being obsessed with Disney princesses and that Jon just gets her. They have had 5 years, 7 months and 29 days together and Aoibhin said she was looking forward to their happy ever after!
