Emma & Joe Bellinter House

Bellinter House Wedding

Joe’s family are my cousins so it was a double blessing to get the chance to photograph the awesome Emma and Joe at their Bellinter House Wedding. They met 6 years ago and have been inseparable ever since. And with this insightful Apache Blessing, they tied the knot.

May the sun bring you, new energy by day
May the moon softly restore you by night
May the rain wash away your worries,
May the breeze blow new strength into your being
May you walk gently through the world
And know its beauty all the days of your life.

Emma got ready in her mum’s arty house in Ashford and travelled to Bellinter House just to pop on her wedding dress. While Joe got ready at Bellinter House. An outdoor wedding ceremony in Bellinter House was planned. And the weather held up its side of the bargain! The only moment of uncertainty was when the rings were still in the house. And the ceremony had to be stopped so they could be extracted from the bridal suite.

Some of the speeches were held outside at the back of Bellinter House on the steps before they all headed into dinner. And after dinner, Emma and Joe came back outside to have a little fun in the fading light. It was lovely to see everyone after the meal, head outside to see the happy couple dance in the darkness. Then, everyone joined them on the dancefloor inside.

With their shared love of murder podcasts and love of musicals… I am told they can sit in silence for hours listening to multiple murder stories or be singing at the top of their lungs to Wicked. So they must be meant for each other.

As their first reading so sweetly said:

Wherever we go
Whatever we do
Whenever there’s me
I hope that there’s you
