Always a nice thing to photograph for someone you know. So I was delighted when Lindsey and Brian asked me to shoot their real wedding at Millhouse Slane. I know LIndsey’s mum Nuala and if she is as much fun as Nuala, I knew it was a wedding not to be missed.
Lindsey and Brian had a bit of a journey to get to their wedding day but like most things in life. “What is meant to be won’t pass you by”.
They were so happy they chose to have their wedding at Millhouse Slane. Millhouse Slane is one of Ireland’s alternative wedding venues, with a backdrop of the old industrial mill on the river Boyne. With lots of stunning varied areas for photos such as the manor house, gardens and industrial mill.
Brian being no stranger to a uniform; a member of the Defence Forces had his groomsmen wear shirts and braces which they all joked about. But, with the day being warm, I think they appreciated not having to wear a formal jacket.
Lindsey looked stunning in her wedding dress from The White Room Mullingar but it was quite the operation in the morning with the “tittie tape” . I think they used the whole roll up but it worked.
Their ceremony took place at the mill ceremony room so Lindsey and her bridesmaids and kids Grace and Chloe only had to walk around the corner to get married.
They and all the guests including all the aunties never stopped dancing all night. A sign of a good party.
I wish this lovely happy go lucky family all the best for the future. I am sure they will always be laughing together – surrounded by all their friends and family.
Meanwhile I am looking forward to being a wedding photographer for Millhouse Slane again this summer.
