Rhianne & Keith Brooklodge Hotel & Macreddin Village

Stunning Wedding at Brooklodge Hotel

Sometimes one wedding can lead to another… Rhianne and Keith met while they were both bridesmaids and groomsman at a mutual friends wedding. Four years later, Keith came home for Christmas from Australia and met up with Rhianne. They started a 6 month long distance relationship before Keith finally took the plunge and moved to the UK to Rhianne.

They decided on a country style wedding venue in Wicklow and chose a wedding at Brookldoge Hotel, with the ceremony in the chapel on the grounds of Brooklodge. Rhianne, her six bridesmaids and two flower girls were quite the party getting ready in the bridal suite at Brooklodge Hotel. I hung with the girls while Anna followed the lads out into the gardens at Brooklodge. Keith let off some steam by fooling around on the famous Brooklodge lamps and perhaps even following some of the hens that just walk the grounds.

Rhianne and all the bridal party really enjoyed having a birds eye view of all the guests arriving and walking over the bridge at Brooklodge to the chapel. It just started to rain when the girls walked over to the chapel, but they were well prepared with all their brollies. The ceremony was so intimate in the little chapel. After the ceremony, we stayed to take some family photographs and of course some stunning pictures of our couple. It is so pretty with the pink of the rhododendrons and green of the woodland at such a stunning Wicklow wedding venue.

Rhianne and Keith are very organised so had lots of time too for chatting to all their friends and family. The speeches were great fun and I remember Rhianne’s dad saying that Rhianne was just so excited about the wedding that for about a year beforehand she would find any excuse to turn any conversation to her wedding. For instance, when her dad said he was taking a trip to Reading, Rhianne joked wow “Reading, oh it rhymes with Wedding”!

During the speeches at their wedding at Brooklodge Hotel, it was a great suprise when Shane Long got up to sing them a song on his guitar. It had the whole room laughing their heads off. We hung out with Shane Prunty videographer who made sure they all had fun with a sparkler shot under the balcony later that night before the dancing kicked off. It was some party on the dance floor with Top of the Pops getting everyone up. This couple just spent the whole day smiling, so nice to see them really enjoy the day.
