Autumn Wedding at Darver Castle

Our neuroscientist Elaine had the brains herself to see the fiery sparks fly when she met the firefighter Dario. Elaine was living in Boston at the time and met this crazy moustache wearing Italian/American. So she had no issue with swapping her Sunday Irish dinners to some Italian pizzas and pasta. After 3 attempts due to Covid and some babies!! They planned their Autumn Wedding at Darver Castle.

Elaine and the girls got ready in a local arty farty B&B Deeside Manor. Such a nice spacious house for everyone to get dressed in and enjoy a glass of Prosecco in the gardens. Great excitement too when the VW van pulled up ready to take the wedding party to St Michaels Church in Darver.

The lads got ready in the local Crowne Plaza in Dundalk. With Dario making sure his moustache was perfect for his autumn wedding at Darver Castle. Elaine had joked to me that Dario likes to tell everyone he’s won best stache in Boston 2 years running!

Elaine and Dario were most excited to share their wedding day celebrations with their two lovely girls Aida and Fiadh who seemed to love coming up to my camera lens for one of those close up photos!!! They just stole the show with their crazy antics on the day, kids are just themselves – what you call – a real wedding at Darver Castle.

The bridal party came out to the stunning gardens at Darver Castle. With the sun shining high up in the trees, they just laughed and joked together.

With a stunning sunset backdrop, Elaine and Dario got romantic and had a kiss and a little dance. Then inside Darver Castle for some impromptu photos with the girls, who seem more interested in checking out the room and reading some children’s books then hanging out with mum and dad for some wedding photos at Darver Castle.

At wedding speeches at their Autumn Wedding at Darver Castle, we loved hearing how Dario had saved many lives as a firefighter as well as some cats up trees!! But joking apart, so cute to hear Dario say he has 3 greats in life, his 2 girls and N0. 1 is Elaine. Sure, he have to be a keeper.

He was brave enough to ask Elaine to marry him with his 90 year old grandmother as witness. With her engagement ring, he proposed to her. So no going back now for this happy happy family. We wish them all the moustache smiles in the world….
