Wedding at Moyvalley Hotel

Introducing a super cool wedding at Moyvalley Hotel. Kalla met Darren in her mum’s pub. How epic is that. He had been working there for a few years when Kalla got to know him. And like many Co Longford couples, fell in love over a can of Heineken in Drumlish. Vayda their lovely daughter was involved in Darren’s proposal to Kalla. She was wearing a romper suit that said “mammy, will you marry daddy”. On the morning of the wedding, it was lovely to see Vayda wake up from her nap and point out her mum in her photos of her Garda graduation.

Kalla had also said she liked Darren’s dress sense and I could see why on the day of the wedding.  This was no ordinary Groom’s suit!  Kalla looked as amazing as Darren in her Belladonna Bridal wedding dress. A beautiful couple together. It was a funny moment, when her sister Amber was helping into her dress.  They could not stop laughing – so no big nerves for Kalla. I think her dad Michael seemed to be the most emotional that morning when he saw her for the first time in her wedding dress.

The ceremony took place at their wedding at Moyvalley Hotel. And it wasn’t long before they were outside enjoying the drinks reception. Kalla and Darren were great and took a stroll with their wedding party around the grounds while we got some nice photos of them.

We also went inside to the Manor House. The rooms are stunning in Movyalley Hotel. While all this was happening at their wedding at Moyvally Hotel, the guests were having fun having their caricatures drawn. At least, at the end of the drinks reception, Kalla and Darren got a chance to have one done too. We were with the awesome MG Best Movie who were also documenting the day.

Then, the guests all moved over to the other part of the hotel for the dinner and speeches. The guests were really enjoying the jokes and stories told. But I remember Darren saying in her speech to Kalla that she is an incredible person, a brilliant mother, his best friend and that he was honoured to call her his wife. So, Darren is a bit of a romantic as well.

These two love their music so we had  a super duo just after the meal and then the crazy Smash Hits.  So  no excuses for not getting up on the dance floor. The newleyweds are heading off for 6 weeks to New Zealand in a camper van. A little crazy but in keeping with this two.
